No part of this publication may be reproduced or transmitted by any means without permission in writing from the publisher. The next Georgia Collision Industry Association (GCIA) meeting is scheduled for Thursday, March 20 at 7:00PM at the Smyrna Community Center in Smyrna, Georgia. Industry Expert, Mike Anderson will present his Managing By Process Not by Luck seminar. This seminar is certified by the Automotive Management Institute (AMI). Anderson's seminar is designed to help shops understand how to develop, train, test, and audit employees with the use of Standard Operating Procedures. This course provides insight on how to avoid the top ten reasons that prevent a vehicle from being delivered on time. During February, the GCIA is conducting it's second annual Labor Rate Survey. The association has hired CSi Complete to do an independent third party study of the prevailing labor rates in the Metro Atlanta area. CSi Complete intends to call over 800 shops in Metro Atlanta to generate an accurate measure of labor rates. The survey is designed to capture labor rates based on county and zip code addresses. The association asks shops to inform their personnel that CSi Complete will be calling and educate them on how to answer the survey. GCIA meetings are open to all individuals who share an interest in the Collision Repair Industry. Meeting fees for members and member guests are $10 per meeting.
